Pre-Marital Agreements

The Texas Family Code provides that individuals who intend to marry can enter into a written contract regarding any rights and obligations in any property they own and the disposition of the property on separation, divorce, death, and modification or elimination of spousal support and other purposes more specifically detailed in the Texas Family Code. Under no circumstances can the premarital agreement adversely affect the right of a child to support.
